What you’ll do 
 

The Senior Presales Principal Consultant will work closely with the Pursuit Lead to develop and own client relationships from strategy, innovation and solution perspectives, ensuring that client needs are met or exceeded. A key responsibility of the role is the interface into technical practices and suppliers to ensure proper support and design principles for the engagement and technical structure of deals are met.
 

 

•    Support the Defence Pursuit Lead and the wider Defence team in developing and executing Vodafone’s Defence Strategy including identifying and pursuing opportunities.
•    Develop and manage peer level stakeholder relationships within the customer, suppliers and internally.
•    Be the accountable owner for the development, documentation and execution of the solution strategy for identified opportunities.
•    Provide Technology Leadership and Solution Ownership for the account and bid teams assembled in pursuit of identified opportunities.
•    Ensure alignment with Vodafone standards and manage any deviations as required. Define new standards when necessary to meet Defence requirements.

Who you are   
 


•    Extensive knowledge of UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the UK Defence industry including Defence contractors.
•    Experience of leading successful solution outcomes on Defence opportunities and bids.
•    Technology, Solution and Innovation Leadership both internally and across partners.
•    Commercial awareness and knowledge of the Defence industry, contributing to commercial objectives.
•    Knowledge and experience of crafting solution vision and strategy to address complex needs within a secure environment.
•    Knowledge and experience of relevant industry standards and architectures (e.g. NIST, NCSC, JSP).
•    Strong communication and thought leadership skills to guide, influence and convince others (including customers and third parties) across technical and C-level audiences.

 

This position requires the ability to obtain and hold UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
