About this Role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our Core IP/DDoS Security team in Bucharest, Romania. This role is pivotal in ensuring real-time threat mitigation, incident response, and customer consultation for DDoS attacks. The individual will work in a collaborative global environment, contributing to the protection of both customer and organisational infrastructure. The position involves 24/7 shift coverage and requires hands-on experience in cyber threat analysis and mitigation.

What you will do

  • Analyse and respond to cyber threats, particularly DDoS attacks, within defined SLAs.
  • Continuously improve mitigation strategies by adjusting filters and countermeasures.
  • Liaise with customers to troubleshoot incidents and advise on risk reduction.
  • Provide technical consultation to presales teams and onboard new customers.
  • Manage configuration lifecycle and implement changes in line with SLAs.
  • Participate in major incident and problem management processes.
  • Conduct packet analysis to identify attack vectors and patterns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to enhance security practices.
  • Identify automation opportunities and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in on-call duties, including weekends, as required.

Who you are

  • Holder of a university degree.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Experienced in cyber security incident response and threat mitigation (minimum 2 years).
  • Skilled in packet analysis and DDoS attack differentiation.
  • Familiar with NIST incident response and Mitre ATT&CK frameworks.
  • Knowledgeable in configuring filters and countermeasures for volumetric and application-based attacks.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CISSP, SANS GCIH, or OSCP certifications.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Cyber incident response
    • Deep packet inspection
    • DDoS detection and mitigation
    • Radware DefencePro and DefenceFlow
    • Arbor DDoS protection
    • Application layer attack mitigation
