Your day to day:

As a Capacity Management Specialist, you will ensure a cost-conscious and optimal balance between business requirements and datacenter resources provided by VTIS.

Your role will span across Vodafone Cloud Infrastructure managed Local Markets and IS Internal departments, making a significant impact on the efficient utilization of IT resources.

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • Learn and master BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimizer (TSCO) for usage, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Design, develop, and deploy automation scripts to enhance tool capabilities and manage related ETL components.
  • Build and deploy bash/shell scripts to improve tool functionality.
  • Download, test, and apply tool version upgrades and patches using vendor custom scripts.

Within 6 months, you will be able to:

  • Produce and distribute capacity dashboards and reports, including system metrics and associated trends (CPU, memory, network, and storage utilization).
  • Develop workload-related capacity plans, analyzing resource usage and application workloads.
  • Aggregate and analyze data, identifying correlations between KPIs for business activity and resource consumption.
  • Model resource behavior in response to application load changes and variations in technical configurations.

With these skills you are a great candidate:

  • Solid knowledge of Windows/Unix/VMware infrastructure concepts (preferred) or willingness to learn within 6 months.
  • Understanding of database infrastructure architectures (Oracle, Sybase, MsSql).
  • Knowledge in statistics, data analysis, modeling, reporting, and presentation is a plus.
  • Business Intelligence and SQL programming experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills are mandatory.
  • Understanding of ITIL, with the ability to obtain an ITIL Foundation certificate within a year.
