About this Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Penetration Testing Specialist to join our cybersecurity team. This role is responsible for conducting controlled and deliberate security tests that simulate real-world attack scenarios, ensuring Vodafone’s digital infrastructure remains resilient and secure. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing scopes, execute tests using MITRE techniques, and deliver actionable insights through comprehensive reporting.

What you will do

  • Execute security tests using a variety of MITRE tactics and techniques to identify vulnerabilities and enhance cyber resilience.
  • Design and maintain security testing plans aligned with Vodafone’s standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with testers, managers, and business functions to define test scopes and coordinate execution.
  • Deliver high-quality technical reports outlining both technical and business risks, including clear replication steps and remediation strategies.
  • Provide retesting scripts and support remediation efforts.
  • Develop automation solutions for security testing and document test cases.
  • Offer consultancy and support to international teams on specific IT project scenarios.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, methodologies, and security threats to maintain a proactive security posture.

Who you are

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Penetration Testing.
  • Proven track record in vulnerability discovery (e.g., CVEs) or notable achievements in cybersecurity competitions or research.
  • Certifications such as eCPPT, eWPT, OSCP, CPTS, CBBH or equivalent.
  • University degree in IT, preferably with a focus on Cybersecurity.
  • Applied knowledge of Windows (client/server), Linux/Unix, VMWare, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong understanding of application development processes and proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Java, Python, PowerShell, PHP, VB.NET, Assembly).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools and/or SOAR platforms.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
