About this Role

We are seeking a proactive IoT 2nd Line Operations Junior Engineer to provide technical support and ensure the high availability of IoT services for enterprise customers. This role involves working closely with software developers, adopting AI-driven automation, and maintaining robust operational standards across cloud-based infrastructure and Linux environments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with scripting, debugging, and implementing changes in large-scale enterprise systems. 

What you’ll do

  • Deliver technical support for applications and systems, including on-call availability for incident resolution and service restoration.
  • Analyse customer feedback and performance data to recommend improvements and communicate findings to technical teams.
  • Integrate AI agents into daily operations to automate tasks, streamline incident triage, and enhance SLA adherence.
  • Operate and optimise service availability, continuously improving operational methods.
  • Collaborate with software developers to enhance IoT services within Vodafone’s enterprise portfolio.
  • Implement changes and maintain software solutions, including documentation and configuration updates.
  • Conduct daily health checks and improve monitoring processes for supported platforms and services.
  • Ensure compliance with operational agreements and meet key performance indicators such as speed, response time, and error rate.

Who you are

  • Good understanding of ITIL, DevOps principles, and Agile methodology.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI integration in operations.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting application issues on Linux servers.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, APIs, and Microservices.
  • Skilled in programming/scripting with Bash, Perl, Python, or Java.
  • Foundational knowledge of IP Networking and Telecom protocols.
  • Experience working in multinational environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
