About this Role

Provides support and collaborates with software developers to provide and improve IoT services in Vodafone's portfolio for enterprise customers. Ensures the transition of the solutions offered from the development environment to the operational environment through a validation, testing and implementation process. Operates and ensures a high availability of services, regularly develops automation scripts and constantly seeks to optimize existing working methods. Implements changes and maintenance works on the software solutions used by the client, writes implementation documents and changes to the current configuration / code and implements according to existing procedures. 

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with software developers to support and improve IoT services for enterprise customers.
  • Facilitate the transition of solutions from development to operational environments through validation, testing, and implementation.
  • Operate and maintain high availability of services, regularly developing automation scripts and optimising working methods.
  • Implement changes and maintenance activities on client-facing software solutions, including documentation and configuration updates.
  • Proactively detect and resolve service-affecting database and application issues.
  • Manage and resolve incidents independently, minimising vendor involvement.
  • Provide input for planning, assessment, and rollout of change requests.
  • Analyse database performance and implement improvements.
  • Identify and implement maintainable automation solutions.
  • Support knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
  • Participate in on-call support outside standard working hours.

Who you are

  • Experienced in working within a multinational environment.
  • Proficient in English (C1-C2 level), both written and spoken.
  • Strong understanding of SQL/PL-SQL and Oracle Database technologies (RAC, Exadata, Dataguard).
  • Minimum 1 year of technical experience with Linux/Unix, Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, Oracle DBA or Application DBA tools (AWR/ASH/ADDM).
  • Skilled in database and SQL tuning.
  • Competent in scripting/programming with Bash, Perl, or Python.
  • Familiar with Oracle GoldenGate.
