Your day to day:

•    Provide support and collaborate with software developers to enhance and improve IoT services in Vodafone's portfolio for enterprise customers. 
•    Ensure the transition of the solutions offered from the development environment to the operational environment through a validation, testing and implementation process.
•    Operate and ensure a high availability of services, regularly develop automation scripts and constantly seek to optimize existing working methods. 
•    Implement changes and maintenance, work on the software solutions used by the client, write implementation documents and changes to the current configuration / code and implement according to existing procedures.

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • Contribute to planning, evaluation, and execution of production migrations and software/network changes, including feasibility assessments and cost estimates.
  • Maintain and update CI/CD pipelines and source code, using version control systems to streamline deployments and improve migration processes.
  • Develop and enhance automation scripts for daily health checks, performance monitoring, and platform improvements, while identifying new automation opportunities.
  • Handle incidents, problems, and service requests (including workarounds), and provide 2nd/3rd level support for network applications, including on-call availability.
  • Participate in defining SLAs/KPIs, reviewing pre-release features, and contributing to team knowledge through training, documentation, and peer support.
  • Modify software for better performance and customer experience, conduct impact analyses, and maintain strong relationships with internal/external partners to ensure SLA compliance and service quality.

With these skills you are a great candidate:

  • Good understanding of ITIL, DevOps principles and Agile methodology
  • Good operational knowledge, able to debug and troubleshoot application issues on Linux servers
  • A minimum of 1-year technical experience working with: cloud-based infrastructure on AWS and deployment methods using CI/CD (Jenkins), version control (Git)
  • Basic understanding of: Docker, Kubernetes, APIs, Microservices
  • Experience working with SQL and non-SQL Data Bases: MongoDB, OracleDBs, DWH
  • Good understanding of programming/scripting with any of the following languages: Bash, Perl, Python, Java
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (both written and spoken)
