About this Role

As a Service Design Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end service design of Internet of Things (IoT) products and services within your assigned projects. This includes initial assessments, business process design, documentation, and alignment with technical and operational teams. You will define customer-centric solutions and contribute to the operational support model, ensuring a seamless experience across the Sell-Build-Run cycle, including onboarding, billing, and support. A key deliverable in this role is the Service Design Document, which supports cost optimisation, enhances customer experience, and embeds best practices throughout the service lifecycle.

What you will do

•    Define service design processes across the full lifecycle of IoT products and services within assigned projects.
•    Support the mapping of business processes aligned with technical and operational capabilities.
•    Document service design deliverables, including the Service Design Document, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement the operational support model.
•    Ensure consistency and quality across the Sell-Build-Run cycle, including onboarding, billing, and support.
•    Contribute to seamless customer experiences through structured service design.

Who you are

  • Experienced in service design and delivery within the telecommunications industry, particularly in large enterprise environments.
  • Skilled in project management with a proven track record of successful solution development and transition to operations.
  • Capable of identifying inefficiencies and driving improvements in service models.
  • Able to communicate complex concepts clearly across multicultural teams and stakeholder levels.
  • Holds a university degree in engineering, telecommunications, or computer science.
  • Certified in Prince2 or equivalent project management methodology.
  • ITILv3 Foundation and Service Transition/Service Design certified.
  • Brings 5+ years of experience managing customer or operational services in telecoms.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of cloud services and applications delivery.
  • Experienced in leading multinational teams and working within matrix organisations.
  • Background in consulting, service selling, customer relationship development, and competitive analysis.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
