About this Role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud & Infrastructure team in Bucharest. This role is focused on deploying, maintaining, and enhancing infrastructure for Vodafone’s cloud and on-premises applications. The individual will provide technical support, collaborate with development teams, and offer DevOps consulting for future application improvements. The position requires hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, scripting, and modern CI/CD and observability tools.

What you will do

  • Hands-on experience with software development best practices and lifecycle
  • Practical knowledge of DevOps tools and cloud technologies
  • Skills in API development, automation, and system integration
  • Agile working methodologies and cross-functional collaboration
  • Real-world application of non-relational databases and version control
  • Assist in deploying and configuring cloud components needed for new features, ensuring accuracy and alignment with documentation.
  • Update internal documentation as you learn new processes or tools.

Who you are

  • Holds a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field, with initial exposure to cloud or DevOps concepts through internships, academic projects, or entry‑level roles.

  • Familiar with public cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, or Azure, with a basic understanding of how cloud resources are created and managed.

  • Basic knowledge of scripting using Bash or Python, primarily for simple automation tasks or troubleshooting.

  • Introductory experience with CI/CD tools like Git, GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins, and an understanding of how pipelines support software delivery.

  • Basic understanding of Linux system administration, including file systems, permissions, and common commands.

  • Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis, with the ability to perform simple queries or checks.
