IT Application Operation Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the IT team, ensuring the availability and reliability of applications, managing technology vendors, and implementing new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and productivity. This role must ensure that the organization's IT policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
Support customers directly external, users final, by administrator escalations, resolution issues users and monitoring performance systems critical for the customers external, to prevent the delays and interruptions and to solve problems quickly.
What you’ll do
- Ensure efficient delivery of projects by coordinating all phases, optimizing resources, controlling costs and timelines, and managing subcontractors.
- Oversee and implement updates and installations for new services.
- Manage IT transitions for new products and services.
- Negotiate service contracts, costs associated with implementations, quality and performance indicators, and implementation durations, with the support of the contracting department, with other providers of technical solutions. It is the single point of contact for external service providers or technical platforms.
- IT OPEX budget management.
- Responsible in defining / proposing the investment budget requirement (CAPEX) for information technology improvement plans (replacement of outdated systems, security, affected service areas, etc.)
- Lead the development of operations analysis reports.
- Report on the achievement of results to the Head of IT Operations.
Who you are
Competence, knowledge and experience
- Technical abilities: Knowledge of computer software and hardware, including servers and systems, to run IT departments successfully.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team Leadership: Effectively manages IT staff and sets department priorities.
- Process Improvement: Assessing and improving processes is vital.
- Communication Skills: Able to communicate with team members, management, and end users across the organization.
- Problem Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to directly addressing user issues with software, hardware, and servers.
- Budget management: financial management and budgeting skills
Education, Certifications technical/ professional:
Mandatory:
- Technical University diploma (Technology Information, Electronics, Telecommunications or other relevant)
- Knowledge specific to project management
Optional:
- PMP
- Prince2
- ITIL
Professional expertise
Mandatory:
- At least 5 years of experience in project implementation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in telecom and industry-specific projects.
- Minimum 1 medium/ large size project implemented (> 100 thousand Euro).
- Solid knowledge of Waterfall methodologies and Agile.
- The ability to take decisions under pressure.
- Orientation to the customer.
