What you’ll do

 

The Quality Assurance and Release Manager will strategize and execute the Testing and Release Management activities for projects.

You will drive Quality Assurance activities proactively, managing risk and assuring the quality of the delivery.

You will promote and accelerate the Release Management discipline as an alignment of a predictable delivery cadence across Core IT, safeguarded by End-to-End Regression processes

You will foster a strong feedback loop and continuous improvement with Delivery and Operations stakeholders for the overall delivery of projects as per the KPIs, safeguarding customer experience

Quality assurance, monitoring and reporting against each phase within the Quality Assurance lifecycle

Creation, maintenance and ownership of the Quality Assurance strategy & Quality Assurance plan, ensuring adherence by the Quality Assurance team and other areas responsible for Quality Assurance

Police and govern the Quality Assurance signoff gates laid out in the Quality Assurance process.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS Key Accountabilities / Objectives

1. Quality Assurance Management

• Define the Quality Assurance Strategy, Quality Assurance estimates, Quality Assurance schedule.

  • Drive and Execute the Testing Transformation towards Lean and Standard Aligned Testing Practice
  • Refresh and execute the roadmap for Quality Assurance environments supporting Testing activities.
  • Responsible in Market for the overall performance of Testing team delivered by the shared service Testing Unit.
  • Keep the high standard of Quality of Input from Delivery units through System Test and Defect Density RCA analysis
  • Be the voice of cooperation between shared service Unit and the other market IT units (delivery, operations)
  • Enable aligned Business outcomes through synchronized Testing and Business Acceptance criteria.

• Ensure full auditability throughout Quality Assurance such that complete Quality Assurance data is available for audit purposes.

• Engage Quality Assurance partners and secure Quality Assurance resources required

• Management of the defect process, driving continuous improvement across all areas of IT (Analysis, Delivery, Testing)

2. Release Management

  • Transform and Own the Release Management process and Release trains to deliver predictable go to production in sync with business units and IT delivery units
  • Own the Release Calendar and execute the planning and delivery of Releases through alignment with project and program managers.
  • Execute PI planning governance for long term release planning
  • Own the Release artefacts versions through planning of what/when to be delivered by delivery units.
  • Drive the Test Environment Strategy supporting the pipeline of Releases.

Who you are

 

  • Strategic thinker with hands-on QA and Release Management expertise
  • Experienced in SDLC, ITIL, Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe delivery models
  • Skilled in defining QA strategies and managing release trains
  • Strong leadership in test transformation and lean testing practices
  • Confident in coordinating cross-functional teams and delivery units
  • Proficient in tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM/QualityCenter
  • Quality-focused, with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Excellent communicator, decision-maker, and problem-solver
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Holds certifications like ISTQB, ITIL Foundation, and PM knowledge
  • Background in telecom and infrastructure is a plus
