Your day to Day

  • You will testing, implementation and development of specific software systems to the radio access network within mobile telecommunication systems (2G/3G/ 4G BTS, 2G BSC, 3G RNC, 4G nodeBs) in order to meet the performance requirements of customers and external users (Vodafone operators in Europe).
  • The engineer in this role performs analyzes, adapts and harmonizes the technical solutions,  hardware and software configuration of radio access systems (2G/3G/ 4G BTS, 2G BSC, 3G RNC, 4G nodeBs)  in order to meet the real requirements of the client, but also to introduce new functionalities to satisfy the estimated needs. The engineer has the responsibility to test and accept the software versions and the functionality of the radio access systems, being also responsible for solving the defects discovered in the testing process.
  • Defines software specifications for KPI calculation methodologies (Key Performance Indicator), defines KPIs for determining access network load thresholds for both GNED departments and external customers, the other 13 Vodafone OpCos in Europe.

You will plan and performs the implementation, testing and operational verification of Key accountabilities:

You will develop efficient software and hardware systems in accordance with customer requirements

You will adapt and harmonizes operating systems and new software versions and functionalities.

You will develop software specific to the radio access network for European operators (XML command lines), corresponding to the needs of adaptation and harmonization.

You will plan and performs the implementation, testing and operational verification of new software modules and functionalities adapted to the related hardware equipment.

You will be responsible for solving the defects discovered in the testing process

Planning and setting the important parameters of the software modules for all implemented radio access technologies, to respond optimally to the real needs of customers (determining a superior user experience)

Documents and presentations with guidelines, design & plan for RAN Sw Systems (2G/3G/4G Radio nodes)

With these skills you are a great candidate

Good knowledge of radio access technologies (2G, 3G, 4G)

Good knowledge of radio equipment, parameters and software functionalities

Knowledge of the performance indicators in the telecommunication networks and the optimization techniques

Good knowledge of software component management cycles: development, testing, acceptance, implementation, performance optimization and troubleshooting

Graduate of Automation, Telecommunications, Information Technology or equivalent.

Good awareness of wider technology aspects in telecommunications and ICT

Inter-functional relationships
