Your day to day:

 

As a Senior Test Designer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. You will work closely with our product development and engineering teams to identify and document testing requirements, create effective test cases, and analyse test results. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality assurance, has a strong understanding of testing methodologies, and enjoys solving complex problems.

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and testing needs.
  • Execute functional, regression, and performance tests to identify defects, track bugs, and ensure software quality.
  • Maintain test matrix of user stories mapped to the test cases
  • Develop automated tests and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Analyse test results, identify root causes of defects, and provide detailed feedback to development teams.
  • Oversee testing practices and standards within the team, ensuring best practices are consistently followed.
  • Mentor and guide junior testers, providing training, support, and feedback to help them develop their skills.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and testing activities.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.

With these skills you are a great candidate:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in testing mobile applications, web applications, or embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Cypress, Appium) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
