We work with customers across 28 countries from 10 VOIS locations: Albania, Egypt, Hungary, India, Romania, Spain, Turkey, UK, Germany, Ireland, and with a network of teams in Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, and Portugal.
About this Role
We are seeking a Marketplace Solution Architect to join our Vodafone Business IT Marketplace team, which designs and maintains the platforms supporting a diverse range of products and services. This role involves assessing business requirements and leading the creation of end-to-end solution designs that enhance customer experience. The individual will work closely with Enterprise Architects, Platform Owners, and Technical Designers to coordinate architecture across the marketplace ecosystem, contributing to technology strategy and roadmaps. The role is based in Newbury or London, with opportunities to collaborate internationally
What you will do
- Analyse business requirements and lead technical impact assessments.
- Develop technical options and create high-level and detailed solution designs.
- Coordinate architecture across the marketplace ecosystem, ensuring alignment with blueprints and standards.
- Evaluate and manage technology vendors, staying updated on trends and roadmaps.
- Define platform features, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Produce technology roadmaps, test strategies, and acceptance documentation.
- Act as a technology thought leader and single point of contact for local markets.
Who you are
- Experienced in agile platform/product development within the technology or telecoms industry.
- Skilled in designing and implementing e-commerce platforms, digital channels, and cloud-based customer solutions.
- Proficient in software development life cycles and agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of Digital Channels, microservices, APIs, middleware, and BSS systems.
- Familiar with SSO technologies (Open ID, SAML, OAuth) and Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, TM Forum).
- Technically adept in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and mobile networks (4G/LTE, 5G).
- Holds a university degree in computer science, electrical/electronic/telecommunications engineering or similar.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a mobile operator or global tech company.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and virtual team leadership skills.
