About this Role

We are seeking a System Engineering Specialist to join our TI department in Bucharest. This role is focused on defining and implementing infrastructure standards across cloud and on-premise platforms, ensuring security, connectivity, and cost-efficiency. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams and international partners to support the delivery of scalable and secure infrastructure solutions aligned with business strategy.

What you will do

  • Define standards for cloud and on-premise platforms, components, and systems.
  • Advise departments and projects on infrastructure services and ensure usability.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with security and connectivity requirements.
  • Develop and enhance infrastructure-as-code components (e.g. AWS, Kubernetes, container solutions).
  • Define architectural specifications based on business strategy.
  • Support departments in adopting and utilising cloud services.
  • Assess and approve infrastructure solutions for projects.
  • Provide strategic consultation on topics such as security, cloud vs. on-premise, and cost optimisation.
  • Monitor and control cloud costs, proposing measures for continuous cost reduction.

Who you are

  • Holds a technical or industrial engineering degree or has extensive experience in IT infrastructure, data centres, operations, or engineering.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience with public cloud solutions and infrastructure-as-code tools (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Skilled in automation and configuration management tools (Jenkins, Groovy, Nexus, Bitbucket, Ansible).
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in IT operations, consulting, or architecture.
  • Strong understanding of large-scale IT infrastructures, including hardware, operating systems, databases, and enterprise applications.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft, Linux, HP, Oracle, VMware, Citrix, networks, firewalls, and central IT services (storage, backup, SAN, antivirus, monitoring).
  • Fluent in English with experience in intercultural communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiar with ITIL processes and business workflows (PPM, internal ordering, communication).
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking, technical curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Able to work independently with a customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills.
