About this Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Test Designer to join our Software Infrastructure team in Bucharest. This role is responsible for ensuring that enterprise products and services meet business requirements and quality standards. The individual will contribute to reducing time to market, improving operational efficiency, and minimising launch risks by delivering effective manual and automated testing services. The role also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and supporting vendor evaluations when required.

What you will do

  • Execute manual and automated testing to reduce time to market and enhance quality.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
  • Investigate and validate failed tests and defect fixes, documenting findings for efficient resolution.
  • Collaborate with QA and Testing Team Leaders to identify and mitigate risks affecting quality.
  • Lead or support initiatives to improve testing efficiency and monitor product performance post-launch.
  • Contribute to vendor evaluations, including RFI and response analysis.
  • Deliver test strategies, plans, reports, and lessons learned documentation.
  • Create scripts, test cases, and quality requirements for product certification.
  • Manage defect tracking and ensure thorough testing execution.

Who you are

  • Experienced in environments involving complex technologies and telecom networks.
  • Skilled in decision-making, conflict resolution, and delivering tangible outcomes.
  • Flexible and capable of managing multiple tasks and projects.
  • Able to work across multifunctional and multicultural teams.
  • Strong communicator with proven ability to understand and interpret requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Fluent in English (minimum B2); additional languages are an advantage.
  • Proficient in automated testing frameworks and programming languages.
  • Experienced with IIS, SQL, Oracle, relational database design, and version control systems (GIT, SVN, TFS).
  • Familiar with Jenkins, TCP/IP, SSL, OOA/OOD, XML, XSD, ASP.NET, FLEX, JAVA, HTML5.
  • Skilled in using test management tools (HP ALM, JIRA, TFS) and testing Web Services (REST, SOAP).
  • Knowledgeable in test environment and process management, SQL queries, and data management.
  • Holds a university degree in informatics, electronics, electrical engineering, or information technology.
  • Experienced in network testing and object-oriented analysis.
  • Possesses strong understanding of the full testing cycle from design to operation.
