Release Specialist

Your role in a nutshell:

 

A key role within Base Marketing’s Capability Centre of Excellence, supporting the delivery of Base Marketing releases into the Pega Production environment.  By governing and developing release processes, the role acts as the gatekeeper for change into production for Inbound, Outbound and IVR channels for Vodafone’s Always on Marketing (AoM) programme. Working closely with Base Marketing stakeholders to opitmise a release framework and delivery mechanisms that allows the delivery of both scheduled and ad-hoc releases into the Production environment, whilst collaborating with IT counterparts to align with IT releases and integrations. 

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Supports the day to day technical delivery management and co-ordination of Pega releases into the Production environment
  • Understands the technical complexities of the multi-environment AOM solution, providing authority on what is required from Base Marketing Squads to enable a successful delivery into Production
  • Champions the Release Framework and associated governance processes, ensuring these are adhered to across Base Marketing.  
  • Act as point of contact with IT Operations, to liaise on upcoming IT releases. Coordinating dev & testing activity in the appropriate environment, to ensure end to end delivery is successful
  • Ensure there is a consistent understanding of risk associated with a Production release, having the appropriate mitigation strategies in place

 

What you'll bring to the team:
 

  • A proven track record of delivery management in a complex multi-environment solution, with numerous system integrations
  • Experience of release management, ideally with Pega, within a fast moving organization that has a continuous pipeline of releases 
  • Strong technical awareness to manage activities with a high degree of technology content, and able to operate across a range of technologies and business areas
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Advanced English language knowledge
