About this role

We are looking for product and technology experts who are passionate about engaging with customers and partners in the presales phase. In this role, you will work closely with our German partners and their customers to understand their business and technical needs and help translate these requirements into tailored technical solutions from Vodafone’s portfolio. Your expertise will be key in guiding stakeholders through the solution design process, ensuring their needs are met with innovative and effective offerings. This customer-centric, consultative approach is essential for building trust and delivering value during the early stages of the solution lifecycle.

What you’ll do

  • Analyze and qualify customer requirements to ensure the best fit with Vodafone’s standard products and solutions.
  • Design and develop tailored technical solutions that address customer needs and business objectives.
  • Evaluate the benefits and costs of proposed solutions to support informed decision-making.
  • Create and document both high-level and low-level solution designs, ensuring clarity and compliance with internal standards.
  • Champion process improvement by leveraging technology and automation to drive efficiency.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility and operational readiness of all proposed solutions.
  • Consolidate standard costs and provide technical input for product development and enhancements.

Who you are

  • Fluency in German and English, suitable for both verbal and written communications in global environments
  • 5–7 years of experience in Solution Engineering or Architecture within the Telecom industry
  • The knowledge and experience required to perform technical evaluation of requirements and create, propose, and deliver Vodafone solutions that fit customer needs
  • A strong understanding of Voice/Data connectivity solutions, with specialization in IoT area
  • An innovative mindset—thinking beyond boundaries and contributing to the adoption of the latest tools and technologies to drive efficiency
  • Experience in High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and specification writing
  • Experience working in agile environments
  • Knowledge and exposure/experience with commercial processes (how commercials work in the Telecom industry)
  • Successful experience in vendor product selection and adoption (a plus)
  • Awareness of network operations and ITIL processes (a plus)
