About this Role

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead to oversee cloud strategy and infrastructure operations within the OfficeIT function. This role is based in Cairo, Egypt and is responsible for managing a large Microsoft Infrastructure team, ensuring service excellence across Vodafone Group. The individual will lead technical operations, drive service improvements, and ensure compliance with ITIL standards while supporting over 300,000 users globally. The role demands strategic thinking, strong leadership, and deep technical expertise in Microsoft and cloud technologies.

What you’ll do

Lead and develop infrastructure engineers and service owners across Microsoft platforms.
Manage day-to-day technical operations and ensure backend server health.
Handle customer escalations and drive service improvement plans.
Ensure service availability and performance targets are met.
Oversee incident and change management processes, ensuring SLA compliance.
Provide second-line support for Microsoft Infrastructure applications hosted in Germany.
Facilitate knowledge transfer and onboarding for new team members.
Plan and implement new service operations and manage operational budgets.
Deliver project targets and support feasibility phases with technical expertise.
Maintain high standards in customer satisfaction and professional communication.
Ensure compliance with GDPR and manage risks related to data security and service outages.

Who you are

A strategic thinker with over 10 years of IT support experience, including 5+ years leading IT teams.
Expert in Microsoft systems and cloud technologies (e.g., Entra ID, O365, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS).
Skilled in configuration management, automated deployment, and IT security policies.
Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills.
Willing to work according to German calendar and participate in on-call support.
Open to travel outside Egypt when required.
