Key Accountabilities & Decision Ownership

Responsible for governing deployment business processes and ensuring efficient deliverables by:

 

  • Monitoring and controlling deployment business deliverables and cross functional related projects.
  • Reporting deliverables with analysis to relevant stakeholders up to CTO, Vodacom and Group level.
  • Using data analytic insights to assist in technology decisions that will deliver a better customer experience with prioritised network CAPEX investment and reduced cost of network optimisation.
  • Create full-scale program and project plans and associated communication documents, plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track and report on project milestones and deliverables.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Perform risk assessment and provide mitigation solutions in case of any expected impact on KPIs.
  • Providing regular audit reports on internal deployment processes quality as well as identify gaps and find effective solutions to achieve operational excellence.
  • Governing the regional operations deployment functions ensuring same technical specifications and best practice is followed across (Rollout, RF & TX implementation).
  • Managing all deployment programs development and implementation with all stakeholders from different technology teams to meet business goals and customer experience needs
  • Liaising with Radio, Transport and Strategy teams to ensure that the mutual processes and workflows are delivering the proper outcome.
  • Leading agile squads with Vendors and/or VF teams to achieve project target dates and find alternative solutions in case of unexpected obstacles.
  • Managing all internal deployment team activities, and interfacing with external parties, to ensure that all the team’s objectives and responsibilities are met.
  • Managing deployment projects and vendors and identifying risks and providing tactical advice to management and stakeholders to achieve short and long-term strategy.
  • Governance for all regional operations deployment functions internally and managing interface with stakeholders externally.
  • Providing regular audit reports on internal deployment processes quality.
  • Group reporting interface for deployment business deliverables.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Min 3 years of experience related to access field network deployment governance.
  • Ability to deliver challenging targets in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Full understanding of customer demands/needs and flexibility to exceed customers’ expectations.

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor degree of relevant qualification
  • Post graduate studies is an advantage but not a must
