About this Role

We are seeking a strategic and technically adept individual to lead the design and performance standards across a diverse portfolio of data products. This role is pivotal in ensuring consistency, high performance, and user-centric innovation across transformation programmes within the Data and Analytics domain. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed design principles, drive quality assurance, and future-proof data products to enhance adoption and business value.
 
 
 
 

What you will do

  • Define and evolve product design and performance principles across Group Data and Analytics programmes.
  • Drive compliance with design standards across product delivery teams, establishing controls and governance.
  • Lead quality assurance processes to maintain high product standards.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
  • Champion innovation and identify opportunities to enhance product relevance and user experience.
  • Oversee team performance and support professional development.
  • Ensure robust documentation, training materials, and technical collateral are in place to support adoption.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in data analytics, including data science, visualisation, and data management.
  • Skilled in handling large, multi-dimensional datasets using tools such as Oracle SQL, SQL Server, BigQuery.
  • Experienced in agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of data product design and end-user experience.
  • Proficient in software development and systems integration.
  • Familiar with Google Cloud Platform or AWS full stack development.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, SAC).
  • Knowledge of Alteryx, Office365 (PowerAutomate, PowerApps), Python, HTML, CSS.
  • Effective communicator with strong business acumen and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to influence cross-functional teams and advocate for product excellence.
