What you’ll do

As a Network Deployment Quality & Field Engineer, you will take responsibility of site supervision & project management.  You will be responsible for field activities related to Fiber Optic (FO) access Network. Manages fulfillment network design projects & local FO rollout deployment projects. You will lead the National Network Deployment Field Rollout in accordance with the guidelines as provided by the Head of Network Deployment. Under your responsibility will be: Site supervision, Project Management, Field Construction,  Field HSE & Quality, FTTH activities.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 

•    Site Supervision & Project Management in Crete.
•    ND Fixed & Quality Execute fiber network deployment, Supervise & coordinate field deployment activities which are carried out from subcontractors
•    Manages fulfillment of network rollout projects and resolves issues and problems during construction phase
•    Ensures that network design guidelines and specs are followed in FO construction
•    He is responsible to secure that guidelines, standards & procedures on H&S are met in the field deployment
•    Perform field audits 
•    Make short visits to corporate customers premises and prepare the Site Survey design which is a prerequisite to create the FO connectivity design
•    Prepare reports for field rollout progress status and issues
 

Who you are

•    Degree in Engineering and/or TEI/IEK equivalent certifications in Fiber Optic technology, or Communications
•    English language (Fluent oral and written)
•    Κnowledge in optical fiber networks (3 years’ experience in Fixed Access Networks/ FO deployment 
•    In-depth knowledge of the following networking technologies: 
o    Construction of FO networks
o    FO passive equipment understanding
o    FO cabling specs  
•    Relevant Networking related certifications are desirable and will be considered a plus.
•    Proven analytical capability
•    Ability to multi-task and prioritize job requirements.  Ability to cope with complex projects and tight deadlines 
•    Self-motivated (takes initiative)
•    Build Trust. Take risks, push what is possible and look for improvement all the time. Effective problem resolution
•    Think Simple. Focus effort and challenge complexity and provide simpler solutions. Communicate in a way that is easy to understand
