Group Lead - Passive Infrastructure (m/f/d) for Vantage Towers

Your Responsibilities:
- Passive Infrastructure Rollout: You are responsible for the end-to-end rollout of passive mobile infrastructure (towers) for new builds and upgrades, adhering to timelines, budgets, and technical/legal specifications up to customer handover.
- Disciplinary & Functional Leadership: You lead, mentor, and develop your team members, taking full disciplinary and functional management responsibility.
- Budget Ownership & Optimization: You manage and allocate the group's investment budget effectively while driving cost-optimization measures across deployment projects.
- Vendor Management & Negotiations: You shape strategic partnerships and lead negotiations with external service providers and vendors for network expansion projects (supporting key clients such as Vodafone Germany and external parties).
- Process Improvement & Reporting: You evaluate processes for continuous improvement, champion best practices and cost-effective technologies, and define business requirements for infrastructure reporting systems.
Your Profile:
- Educational Background: University degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical/Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent vocational/practical qualifications.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in telecommunications project management with sound knowledge of fixed and mobile network deployment processes; initial people management experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Extensive background in designing and implementing deployment workflows, accompanied by solid expertise in infrastructure reporting tools and vendor SLAs.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and conceptual thinking, confident communication, assertiveness, and proven negotiation skills with internal and external partners.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent German (C1 level) and good English (B2 level) skills, both written and spoken.
At Vantage Towers, we operate in 8 different European countries. This role will be based in Dresden or Berlin.
