The Fixed Networks Performance & Optimisation role will merge the use of data science with Optimisation strategies reflecting the innovative nature of Vodafone

The next challenge for you:

To be responsible for Fixed Optimisation Strategies for the Vodafone Network. This role will have a strong emphasis on planning and optimisation guidelines of the Fixed Network and Technologies.  Ability to analyse the design and performance of the Fixed network with a view to being able to lead Network Optimisation Programs is a key requirement of the role. Understanding of all Fixed Technologies & Interworking with Transmission and Core Infrastructure is also key to the role.

 

Technical Responsibilities:
Fixed Network Optimisation of Performance, Capacity and Customer KPIs
Deliver Vodafone Networks, Strategic Network Optimisation Projects 
Fixed Network Design & Optimisation View
Own Fixed Network Performance Optimisation Guideline
Vendor Management / Technical Point of Contact.

 

Impact on the business
The role is to lead and be accountable for the Fixed Network Performance Optimisation Projects that deliver Market Leadership performance for the Vodafone Network.
Provide Fixed  Optimisation technical leadership within the Networks organisation
Work closely with other VF functions to realise our digital Telco goals and make best use of network data to deliver best in class Mobile Network Experience
Ensure Fixed Network Capacity and Performance requirements are aligned.
Develop and implement “Best in Class” Network Optimisation processes

We Are Looking For You, If You Have:

5+ years’ experience in Fixed or Converged Network Operator/Provider.
Experience of Network Data Sources – Probes, PM Counters, Crowd Source Data, CPE Analysis Tools,
Experience of Converged (Fixed and Mobile) Networks Infrastructure and Backhaul Technologies  
3rd Level degree in Engineering or similar
Good knowledge of all existing & emerging technologies deployed in Fixed, Transmission and Core networks.
Knowledge of Data Analytics/Data Science Methodologies.
Project Management/Vendor Management.

Ability to cooperate/collaborate with multiple teams and other departments
Comfortable in the management of complex technical matters
Strong demonstrable leadership skills
Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is vital
Must have the ability to ask searching insightful questions and persist until a clear answer is obtained
Excellent interpersonal skills and technical presentation skills.
