Role Purpose:
The Fixed Access Engineering Delivery Unit Manager IE-PT is responsible for:
Lead the Engineering Delivery Unit IE and PT within Fixed Access Engineering Delivery Units, being accountable for the detailed design, implementation, dimensioning, execution and optimization of Fixed Network systems and networks in IE and PT to deliver best class experience. Additionally, ensure that emergency handling for Fixed Networks is strictly addressed across all geographies, in a harmonized and effective manner.
Manage all the relevant relationships with the local stakeholders in the cluster countries and other Vodafone Networks domains, in particular Network Development, Operations and other teams for the implementation of network capacity management or configuration activities, special projects or the handling of emergency situations.
Be accountable for all optimisation activities within Fixed Access Networks in IE-PT with a comprehensive performance analysis and improvements plan development.
Build the required environment to create an ambitious and high-performance team gradually increasing performance and capabilities while harmonising, and simplifying the Network landscape
Drive team resources to truly support Company strategy, support Customer needs and develop their professional skills.
Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities:
Management of the engineering & delivery team in IE-PT dealing with Fixed Networks
Being accountable of detailed design, implementation, optimization, and delivery of Fixed Networks to offer best customer experience.
Being accountable for all Performance optimisation activities.
Guaranteeing delivery of all local initiatives according to the agreed SLA.
Deliver resilient and secure networks for all countries.
Ownership and maintenance of the country Fixed Access Networks detailed Level Design including dimensioning and performance of the end-to-end chain.
Country specific implementation of the Fixed Network Evolution Plan in the cluster, according to the European strategy and roadmap
Direct management of the stakeholders within the cluster
Defining, planning and scheduling all activities and interventions
Mobilising and coordinating all required engineering efforts in case of emergencies related to Fixed networks.
Management of the Fixed Networks budget execution in the cluster
We Are Looking For You, If You Have:
Essential
Preferably experience in Fixed networks and specific knowledge of in country challenges and objectives, such as capacity, functionality, resilience, vendor footprint, complexity, pain-points.
Capable of building a true end-2-end view and understanding of Fixed Networks and convergence opportunities.
Strong established relationships with key stakeholders in the cluster countries, namely with local operational and commercial/demand teams.
Strong people management and motivation skills in different countries. Able to build a team very focused on specific market issues and challenges, but also open and able to execute a group strategy for Fixed Networks of the clusters.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
University degree: telecommunication degree, MBA recommended with more than 5 years of experience and management experience can be preferred.
Solid knowledge and experience in Fixed (IP, BNG, CGNAT) Networks design, delivery and operations
Operational experience
Good stakeholder’s management
Strong performance & customer orientation
Ability to work across multi-functional and cultural boundaries to deliver results/change
Great Team Leadership and management to build high performing teams
Execution and Results oriented.
Budget management/execution experience
Established networking or closeness with other engineering domains also deeply impacting performance such as transmission, voice, TV, etc..
