Role Purpose

  • Owner of BA / Architecture functions towards the customers.
  • Act as architecture and design authority across Technology Software Solutions. 
  • Owner of RFP technical activities and vendor technical evaluation.
  • Ensures that Technology Software Solutions is following the industry standards, as well as those the customer.

Role Responsibilities

  • Gathers requirements from customers, ensuring their completeness, consistency and relevance. Then would interpret these requirements into technical requirements / architectures.
  • Leads technical design activities
  • Ensures and owns the process of software architecture within the department.
  • Keeps abreast of all industry frameworks / standards and ensures that they are followed within the department.
  • Owns the RFP process, ensuring the relevant technology teams are engaged, acting as their customer and technical leader.

Competencies and Technical Requirements

  • Proven and demonstrable Architecture, Development and Technical Leadership skills (within the Telecom industry is a plus). 
  • Deep understanding of technical security concepts.
  • A track record of building reliable and safe distributed systems, with an appreciation of the trade-offs made during construction. 
  • Stakeholder management (Technology, Business) & good communication skills, striking the right balance between complexity, business requirements, affordability, delivery risk, etc
  • Proven ability to lead in virtual teams

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • BSc of engineering, or related field, MBA preferred.
  • At least 7 years technical experience in different telecommunication and/or IT domains.
  • Deep understanding of the software engineering concepts.
  • At least 5 years hands-on experience in software development using one of the latest development languages or frameworks.
  • Must have worked in at least 2 different Technology areas before preferably in Telcom/IT related domains
  • Hands-on experience in developing and delivering different IT/Telcom related applications and Services.
  • Previous experience in multinational / Vendor companies.
  • Previous experience working on large scale and complex IT projects 
  • IT/ Enterprise architecture standards, Frameworks, reference models background.
  • Knowledge of Agile principles and methodologies – previous experience working in an Agile Environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure, Cloud, and virtualization concepts and solutions.
  • Knowledge of different OS/DB types.
  • Knowledge of Software development techniques, REST web services, SOA, Architecture patterns, and Microservices architecture.
  • Experience in Integration/middleware domain is a plus.
  • Telecom Network Components / Technologies  knowledge is a plus.
  • TMForum /OpenAPIs frameworks knowledge is a plus.
