Role Profile

Work closely with operations teams to implement and maintain scalable and efficient systems, automate processes, and monitor system health.

Role Responsibilities

•Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to identify and address potential issues proactively.
•Implement monitoring tools and frameworks to gather system metrics, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement.
•Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage and timely incident response.
•Contribute to incident investigation and implement preventive measures to minimize future incidents.
•Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
•Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and configurations for system deployment,
•Leverage infrastructure-as-code principles to manage and provision resources.
•Identify system bottlenecks and performance issues through monitoring and analysis.
•Conduct load testing and capacity planning to ensure systems can handle expected workloads.
•Participate in regular retrospectives and contribute ideas for process improvements and system enhancements.
•Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and SRE methodologies to drive continuous improvement efforts.
•Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.

Qualifications and Competencies

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•Strong foundational knowledge of computer science and software engineering principles.
•Familiarity with system administration, networking, and Linux/Unix operating systems.
•Basic understanding of programming/scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
•Knowledge containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
•Understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.
•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
