Role Requirements

  • Works to bridge the gap between development and operations teams to deliver services faster with high reliability.
  • Use software as a tool to manage systems, solve problems, and automate operations tasks to achieve zero touch operations.
  • Helps teams find a balance between releasing new features and making sure that they are reliable for users. (Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives)
  • Partner with development teams to improve services through clear testing and release procedures.
  • Find the gaps in the process and tools to achieve the Ops By Design concept and ensure applying the standardization of the processes, tools and automation of manual work.
  • Responsible for how code is deployed, configured, and monitored, as well as the availability, latency, change management, emergency response, and capacity management of services in production.
  • Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
  • Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
  • Decides the priority with the agile team based on the system reliability.

Competencies and Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of version control (Git, GitLab, etc)
  • +5 Years experience in operations and application support. 
  • Good knowledge of Linux OS capabilities
  • Good understanding of DevOps concepts and best practices
  • CI/CD implementation expertise
  • Experience in monitoring and logging tools (Ex, DataDog, Grafana, Splunk, Kibana,. Etc).
  • Familiar with the Atlassian tool (i.e. Jira, confluence) or similar.
  • Ability to automate with one or more high level languages, such as Python, Ruby, bash scripting ..etc
  • Familiar in SCRUM Agile Development methodology
  • Solid knowledge of container technologies such as docker and orchestrators like Kubernetes.
  • Technologies you will be dealing with

    • Red hat OpenShift
    • TIBCO integration stack
    • API gateways
    • Ansible
  • Very Good Knowledge of infrastructure as a code Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
