About this Role
We are seeking a DevOps Associate (DBA) to join our Core Infrastructure Operations team in Bucharest. This role is pivotal in supporting and maintaining database systems, ensuring their performance, and contributing to automation and transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will be involved in software development, incident resolution, and proactive maintenance, while also supporting project implementations and performance investigations.
What you will do
- Develop scripts and software tools to enhance IT solution functionality and automate recurring tasks using CI/CD and Agile methodologies.
- Provide Level 2 support for database-related incidents and collaborate with Level 1 support teams, including shift work and stand-by duties.
- Actively contribute to transformation and technology refresh programmes aimed at improving service availability and performance.
- Conduct technical investigations into performance issues and propose effective solutions.
- Support high-quality and efficient project implementations.
Who you are
- Experienced in database support (minimum 2 years), with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies and capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Effective communicator with strong documentation skills.
- Proficient in database administration for Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase ASE; knowledge of MySQL, MongoDB, and Apache Cassandra is advantageous.
- Skilled in programming languages such as PL/SQL, UNIX/Linux shell scripting, and Python.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies and general security principles including SOX compliance.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
