We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Complex Technical Engineer with proven expertise in Microsoft Purview. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising data governance solutions, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting enterprise-wide data management strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Microsoft Purview capabilities, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and deliver robust solutions tailored to business requirements.
What you’ll do
- Design and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions for data discovery, cataloguing, classification, and governance across diverse data estates;
- Lead technical workshops, provide guidance on best practices, and develop architectural documentation for Purview deployments;
- Configure and maintain Purview environments, ensuring seamless integration with Azure services and on-premises data sources;
- Monitor data compliance, conduct risk assessments, and implement remediation strategies in line with regulatory standards;
- Troubleshoot complex issues, resolve technical incidents, and provide expert support to internal stakeholders;
- Stay current with advancements in Microsoft Purview, Azure, and data governance technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
- Proven, hands-on experience designing, implementing and operating enterprise Microsoft Purview capabilities in a large, complex environment;
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, data governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.);
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and analytical thinking;
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment;
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Security Engineer) are highly desirable;
- Fluency in English.
