Our organization in Vodafone is accountable for the technical design, development, and partially for deployment and operations of a comprehensive TV solution end to end, starting from the customer experience on multiple types of devices, over content management and rights protection, device management, analytics, down to the streaming of the actual contents.
The solution is the key element of Vodafone’s TV strategy in Europe and operated in about 10 markets across the Vodafone international footprint. We are designing and developing new Microservices, extending the existing ecosystem to support and evolve new and existing product features.
We are closely working together with our colleague from the product organization to build the next generation of TV experience for Europe. The organization Is distributed across Europe with the main clusters in Munich, Duesseldorf, London, Puna (India) and Lisbon.
What you’ll do
As a Full Stack Developer you work in a team in Lisbon on business-critical projects and develop, configure, test, rollout and partially operate new cloud based microservices The team works as a Scrum-team in an Agile Release Train (SAFe), closely together with colleagues and stakeholders from all departments that are involved in the end-to-end solution.
- Transform high level business requirements into low level software designs;
- Work within a self-contained Scrum team and inside an ART (SAFe);
- Develop software components, define & automate unit-tests and integration-tests;
- Compose components into solutions that can be delivered as one bundle;
- Setup and maintain the delivery pipelines (CI/CD) for solution bundles;
- Monitor and analyse solutions continuously;
- Support less experienced team members and provide guidance.
Who you are
- A technical degree (M. Sc.) or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of 2 year in a development role;
- Experience in Web and App technologies (REST, HTTP, TLS, JSON);
- Good knowledge of AWS basic technologies. (Elastic Load Balancing, Lambda, EKS, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, Elasticache etc.);
- Good understanding of cloud native concepts, serverless and container-based designs;
- Good knowledge of Python and associated development tools (IDEs, Testing tools, Github, etc.);
- Experience with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform);
- Experience with automating full CI/CD pipelines;
- Passion for working in a self-contained and empowered Scum team and experience with the Scrum framework;
- English degree (TOEFL) B1 or equivalent experience.
