The purpose of this role is to deliver the Cloud infrastructure in accordance with the strategy and the goals of the domain. Accountable and responsible for the design and deployment ofRedHat & VMWare solutions. Perform the Infrastructure build and onboarding of Network functions into on-premises cloud environment. Technology focus on CaaS, IaaS. (RHOCP, vCloud, vCenter, hypervisor, computing, storage, Network - physical or virtual), remote access solutions, cloud, security, and backup solutions. Working with the On Boarding team to automated E2E integrations and own the process.

As a member of Cloud Engineering team, technology focus from solution implementation and best practices perspective will be (but not limited to):

  • Virtualization and Cloud native platforms overall.
  • Redhat OpenShift, Redhat OpenShift Virtualisation, Kubernetes, GitLab, Argo CD, Ansible
  • VMWare Telco Cloud Platform components, namely: vCloud Director, vSphere, vRealize products (vRealize Operations, Orchestrator, Log inside and network inside), NSX-T, Telco Cloud Automation (TCA) and VMWare Tanzu Kuberneters Grid (TKG) ;
  • Hardware and software lifecycle management
  • Infrastructure in general (hypervisor, computing, storage, Networking - physical or virtual);

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for the delivery lifecycle management of assigned solutions within Europe;
  • Coordinating suppliers, engage with peers and other stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of functionality and quality in projects;
  • Develop the on boarding process and automation of VNF & CNF delivery;
  • Work within the allocated budget and timelines of delivery;
  • Define, address, track and report on standard and guideline adherence;
  • Translate technical requirements into business language.

Who you are

  • Degree qualified;
  • At least 5 years professional experience in   cloud and virtualization telco workload;
  • Expert in data centre infrastructure, cloud computing and virtualization architectures (Telco);
  • Solid understanding of virtualization (RedHat, vmWare) and containerization (RedHat/ Kubernetes);
  • Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols (ie. BGP / ISIS / OSPF);
  • Experience with kubernetes networking (CNIs, Service Mesh, Network Policies, Ingress/Egress);
  • Experience with Network Load Balancers and Firewalls;
  • Experience designing/implementing IPv6 solutions;
  • Scripting expertise is preferred (Power CLI, Ansible, Powershell, Python, …);
  • Process creation and execution;
  • Experience in Cloud computing architecture and design (IT and Telco);
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills;
  • Customer oriented and systematic way of working;
  • Ability to work across multi-functional and cultural boundaries to deliver results and change;
  • Strong individual applied thinking;
  • Fluency in English.
