About the role:
For the role of Specialist DevOps Engineer, we are looking for candidates a with a broad range of skills. The responsibilities include:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Application Operations Engineer with a strong foundation in DevOps practices and extensive experience in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Istio, Helm, Grafana, and ArgoCD. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of application operations, agile methodologies, incident management, problem management, and release management, as well as a solid knowledge of networking and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize application performance and availability in production and non-production environments.
- Proactively identify and resolve application-related issues to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Set up and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using tools like Grafana.
- Lead incident management processes, ensuring quick resolution and proper post-mortem analysis.
- Implement robust problem management frameworks to address root causes and minimize recurrence.
- Work within Agile frameworks to align operations goals with development cycles.
- Plan and manage releases to ensure timely delivery of features and updates.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues across distributed applications.
- Ensure proper security, routing, and connectivity for application workloads.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to implement high-availability and fault-tolerant network architectures.
- 7/24 on call support (The candidate will be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation, taking one week of on-call duty every eight weeks.
What you bring:
Qualifications & Skills:
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with service meshes like Istio and package managers like Helm.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly ArgoCD.
- In-depth experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, and log management systems.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum/Kanban).
- Proven expertise in incident management, problem management, and release management.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, DNS, load balancers, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent communication skills in English (International project)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), or DevOps practices.
- Experience with GitOps workflows and tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
