About the role:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team at Vodafone Group. In this role, you will work closely with international teams across multiple regions, helping to build and maintain a modern, scalable, and secure infrastructure. You will play a key role in driving automation, implementing GitOps best practices, and supporting microservices-based architectures across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Manage containerized applications with Docker, orchestrated through Kubernetes, and deployed using Helm.
- Implement and maintain a service mesh architecture using Istio.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Drive GitOps practices using ArgoCD to ensure reliable and automated deployments.
- Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Python and Bash scripts.
- Maintain and optimize system monitoring and observability using Grafana.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and international development teams to support the continuous integration and delivery of microservices.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
What you bring:

Proficient in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.

Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

Strong understanding of Istio and service mesh concepts.

Solid experience with ArgoCD and GitOps methodologies.

Familiar with Jenkins and GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows.

Deep understanding of microservices architecture.

Strong scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.

Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana.

Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in international and multicultural teams.

Advanced English Fluent in both written and verbal.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
