Role Purpose
Corporate IT Platforms is a key part of Vodafone Digital and IT, aligned with the Tech2025 strategy. It delivers high-quality services through _VOIS and Commercial Shared Operations. Work is prioritized by IT Product Owners and business leads based on customer needs and goals. Initiatives are delivered through existing product-centric teams.
Each product team owns its solution end-to-end, delivering business value with support from core platforms and services that provide scalability and expertise.
As part of the IT Platforms Finance Product Team, the Finance IT Product Manager oversees a portfolio supporting finance operations using tools like CIS, S4, Concur, and Ariba. They define the roadmap in partnership with IT Portfolio and Business, plan strategically, and ensure full alignment across related products such as Supply Chain Management. They act as the go-to expert for Finance IT solutions, ensuring integration and consistency across the portfolio.
We are looking for a self-driven individual who can support daily Finance IT Product Manager duties, consult with the business, be ready to innovate and who can challenge solutions provided by internal and external Development Teams to ensure Vodafone best practice and standards are achieved. The candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of SAP S4 Finance solutions with specifically Advanced Financial Closing (AFC) and Group Reporting for Financial consolidation. An understanding of how finance processes are implemented with SAP S4 including cloud solutions and new technologies including but not limited to Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The role will need to blend functional expertise and strong stakeholder management to integrate an effective outcome that meets the needs of our business. It will look to deliver in an agile manner – driving a product backlog with business alignment so that we ensure delivery across matrix teams and challenge vendors to address our priorities.
What you’ll do
For the role of SAP Finance Product Manager we are looking for candidates with a broad range of skills.
The responsibilities include:
- The Product Manager is accountable for the quality and delivery of the CIS EVO Finance Platform Features & Functions for the products under its remit ensuring compliance with Security, Architecture, Privacy/GDPR, SOX and Audit Controls.
- Define and deliver product roadmaps to meet the needs of the business for products assigned, engaging with the relevant stakeholders to collect requirements/user stories, define dependencies with other Products/Projects as well as assess impacts; approve solution changes (upgrades/patches) linked to the products.
- Work hand in hand with Community of Practice (CoP) Leads, Business Product Owners, Process Governance, Shared Service Centres, System Integrators and other IT teams to follow up on the product behaviour and proactively propose new solutions and improvements.
- Manage the product backlog delivery – aligning iterative prioritisation with the business.
- Engage/review service operations for the overall product health and monitor the performance of the product through defined KPIs
What you bring?
- At least 5 years of experience in large-scale and complex Business Transformation Programmes across multiple countries.
- Strong knowledge of HP Quality Centre, SAP Solution Manager, Microsoft Office Applications and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Experience in a multinational company.
- Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate both verbal and in writing at all levels in English (minum C1) and Spanish (i.e. Senior Management, Business Stakeholders, Global Process Owner/Lead, CoP and external/internal System Integrator).
- Active listener
- Ability to translate business requirements into solutions, identify gaps between those requirements and the existing Core Business Model for finance and potential new solutions plus the ability to prioritise and to achieve challenging deadlines.
- Ability to quickly understand and adopt Vodafone’s ways of working and to follow/adhere to internal processes and procedures.
- Experience in applying and following SAP delivery methodology and Agile delivery experience and/or Agile training.
- A proven track record within one of the following: - Agile: preferably scaled agile framework - Process Optimisation: continuous improvement - Innovation: driving organisational capabilities
- Strong knowledge and extensive experience in SAP S4 Hana FICO modules specially Advanced Financial Closing (AFC) and Group Reporting plus exposure to Real Estate, Asset Accounting and General Ledger & Controlling.
- Good understanding of other SAP S4 FI modules: RMCA/FICA, GL, AR, AP, RE-FX. Controlling (Cost Centres, Profit Centres, Profitability Analysis), plus integrations with SCM & HR. Cloud solutions as Concur, Ariba, etc.
- SAP Certified. Real expert in SAP Finance.
