Software Engineering Pool is a brand-new organization growing in Málaga Innovation Hub. This role will part of our Engineering Pool services serving Vodafone Business Engineering by accomplishing and executing on time and quality our product Backlog across Product Platform Engineering Portfolio, delivering value work for our innovative technology platforms. 
This is an excellent opportunity to join an agile technical team, working with some of the best and brightest engineers, while also developing your skills and furthering your career within a software development squad.
As part of Software Engineering, you will contribute to build community of practice across Vodafone Business Engineering driving, influencing and shaping the future of the technology that will change our word for good. 

Every day you will be learning something new from your peers and your own experiments during the innovation cycles of the Programme Increments.  You will not only learn about software and engineering, but you will also learn about how our Global Vodafone Business portfolio of products proposition works. 

 

As a Software Engineer, you´ll be in charge of the following responsibilities:

  • Comfortable writing efficient and reliable code, using best practices
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Experience in writing engineering applications in Java
  • Comfortable implementing highly-available distributed systems/microservices
  • Experience building scalable backend APIs and relational databases
  • Experience with unit and integration tests
  • Knowledge on automated testing techniques
  • Familiar with agile methodologies

What you bring

  • Experience building scalable software systems. Ideally +2 years of experience in Java, Spring, Spring boot.
  • Experience using AWS infrastructure or similar public cloud providers
  • Familiar with GitLab
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to connect with the community of engineers and developers
