What you’ll do
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
- Lead high-impact global initiatives, collaborating with teams across multiple markets and business areas; typically delivering several cross-country programs.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and local stakeholders to define objectives, deliverables, workstreams, timelines, team structures, and other foundational elements of transformation programs.
- Provide program management expertise which supports the achievement of 3-5 year engineering roadmap; looking beyond methodologies to resolve sophisticated issues applying the most suitable method to achieve success.
- Drive harmonization across countries within Fixed Access Engineering, identifying synergy and consolidation opportunities, in line with Vodafone Technology strategic priorities.
- Promote legacy networks renewal and migration to approved solutions/vendors, through feasibility analysis and business case assessment.
Key performance indicators:
- Delivery of cross-country programs within the different markets on time, quality and budget (delivery of milestones, number of countries onboarded, re-use of architecture/design/vendor solutions)
- Introduction of Hybrid Agile Methodology in Fixed Access Engineering projects (number of projects, teams involved, Agile Product Delivery, short-term wins….)
- Drive harmonization initiatives such us Vendor Roadmap Harmonization, Testing Strategy, DSL Retirement, Network Lifecycle Management, B2T Commercialization among others fully living up to business expectations
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Proven record of accomplishment leading transformation programs across different markets, teams and methodologies, with an in-depth understanding of the technologies required to deliver high quality solutions within a fast-moving organisation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage and inspire cross-functional teams and contractors and influence them to take positive action.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate program delivery to team members and local/group stakeholders (Director/E-Band level) in a timely and clear manner
- Strategical view of Fixed Broadband Networks and Services, future directions of technology and how they add value to customers.
- Capable of building a true E2E view of Fixed Access networks and harmonization opportunities.
- Extensive experience in liaising with senior-level stakeholders and delivering successful change initiatives.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Degree level education required
- Deep work experience in Telecommunications / IT Industry
- Relevant experience in leading multi-country transformation programs, with a demonstrated leadership progression.
- Project Management (PMP, Prince2, SAFe©Agile) qualifications
- Superior MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with project management tools (PEGA, JIRA…) is a plus
- Commercial/Financial governance experience preferred
- Fluent in English
