Location: Any UK Hub + Hybrid*
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

What you’ll do
 

Support and resolve

  • Incident and problems on the production and staging environments. 
  • Provide timely response to the failure of a service or system. 
  • Assist Incident Management to resolve incidents, providing out of hours’ standby cover and callout support. 
  • Communicate major problems to management, team members, and the user community and product owner. 
  • Assists with root cause analysis to identify corrective actions and permanent fixes, challenges RCA delivered by other parties to ensure it is correct. 
  • Will as required, design, sanity check and implement workaround to resolve a problem. 
  • Deliver reactive management, responding to support requests, typically via Remedy. 
  • Analyse issues and correct underlying problems working across elements and services to gain the bigger picture. 
  • Works across other support teams to drive a fix to problem. 
  • Ensure all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures.

 

Proactive Service Assurance 

  • Provide proactive service management as part of continuous improvement. 
  • Carry out proactive health checks on a regular basis. 
  • Perform routine maintenance. 
  • Manage system performance. 
  • Drive automation capabilities and solutions.

Manage external support relationships

  • Raise and follow up calls with external support companies. 
  • Assist third parties in prioritizing and resolving problems and agree closure with Vodafone customers. 
  • Ensure third parties perform Root Cause Analysis and provide permanent fixes.
  • Ensure third parties adhere to applicable Vodafone procedures. 
  • Participate in conference calls and Operational Review Meetings, guiding actions towards Vodafone requirements. 
  • Monitor third-party performance against support SLAs and escalate issues with line manager.
  • Introduction of new products or releases into the environment and change management.
  • Provide input to ensure all support requirements and processes are understood by projects or changes. 
  • Evaluate/participate in any workshops or training activities as required. 
  • Actively test new elements & services to ensure support requirements are adhered to. 
  • Assist the project team during the stability period to ensure support calls are resolved. 
  • Perform deployment to live of changes as required including some out of hours working 
  • Ensure changes are documented and communicated to the whole team and others as necessary. 
  • Ensure all changes are made in accordance with the appropriate Vodafone documented procedures and processes. § Prioritise work according to impact/risk to the business.

 

Who you are  

 

  • Excellent knowledge of Packet Core systems, standards and call flows
  • Proven ability to deliver multiple complex projects
  • Excellent troubleshooting methodology.
  • Strong ability to logically analyze statistical data.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
