Location:  Newbury + Hybrid
Salary:  Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours:  Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

What you’ll do
 

  • To analyse, report and investigate service performance metrics, in order to measure service support quality and recommend improvements. 
  • To ensure that UK IT Operations meets the needs of customers, users, and business stakeholders. 
  • To assist the Technical Authority with internal and external reviews with local business areas, Group Technology and external vendors where required
  • Identify, log, categorize, prioritize, resolve incidents and raise a problem when required 
  • Develop the event categorization framework to qualify events and determine remediating actions. Filter events to determine the level of criticality and the escalation route required
  • Appropriate control for events, conducting preliminary business impact analysis in order to understand and communicate to the appropriate functions to take appropriate response 
  • Consolidate and aggregate events from monitoring and management tools, and make sense of them to understand and link their impact on business services 




Who you are
 

  • Experience in incident/problem management and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of, or experience in adhering to ITIL processes and procedures
  • An understanding of telecommunications and IT services, and the technologies used to deliver them.
  • Ability to work across the organisation and liaise with people in other functions collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible with the ability to maintain effectiveness in a changing environment
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse groups (customers/suppliers, onshore/offshore)
