Location: Belfast + Field/Hybrid  
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday – Friday  + On-call

Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers. 

 

 

What you’ll do
 

 

As a Network Operations Specialist you will join a team of other specialist engineers supporting our dedicated customer’s network. Our customer is a utility company in Northern Ireland with a country wide network utilising data/IP equipment, servers, virtual servers and telecoms transmission equipment. You will be responsible for design, implementation and the support of IP networks, as well as monitoring and maintaining existing Cisco networks, updating IOS and fixing faults. 

 

 

Who you are  

 

 

  • Driving License
  • HND / Degree or industry networking certifications and/or relevant Industry Experience
  • Industry networking certification – CCNA or equivalent minimum
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work both in a team and on your own efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to work in a focused manner under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage own workload to best meet the demands of the business
  • Skilled in evaluation, analytical and problem-solving
  • Flexible attitude to working hours
  • Self-motivated
  • Attention to detail without compromising productivity
  • Adaptability and the ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Eligibility for BPSS / SC clearance
  • Ability to encourage the growth of talent within the team and improve performance

 

 

Technical experience and certification in some or all of the following :-

 

 

  • Cisco routing and switching - CCNA minimum
  • Cisco firewalls
  • Windows server and Active Directory
  • Cyber security applications eg IPS
