What you’ll do

To provide expert technical services in the field of SatCom (satellite communications) to Vodafone. This includes planning, design, project management and implementation of a wide variety of complex satellite earth station and customer projects world-wide. Keep abreast of the application of new developments, techniques, standards and equipments.

Who you are

  • Experience as SatCom engineer. 
  • Experience of managing large multidiscipline engineering projects.
  • Field experience in satellite engineering, operations, or manufacturing. 
  • Knowledge of IP network design and delivery.
  • Develop positive work relationships with colleagues. 
  • Contributes to meetings of own work team on routine issues. 
  • Influence colleagues/others to make improvements to work processes
  • Flexible and positive approach to changing and conflicting priorities, by focussing on maintaining service to the customers. 
  • Be aware of own actions and others so as to meet business objectives
  • Analyse issues to identify root cause & their impact within sphere of activity. 
  • Research information as directed. 
  • Develops solutions, makes decisions and implements actions for routine problems
  • Team player. 
  • Shares knowledge, ideas and results. 
  • Provides guidance to colleagues when required.
  • Able to develop or support with the development of business processes. 
  • Manage documentation associated with projects and with Bid proposals.
  • The ability to take a lead role in a multi-disciplinary team providing a complex, integrated customer solution. 
  • The ability to evaluate solution alternatives in response to changing customer requirements as communicated by the sales or project teams, or the customer, and to communicate the viability of any alternatives and seek feedback on the likely cost, programme, or service impact arising
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Telecommunications or other related Engineering or science discipline
  • Engineering Institution Membership and at least Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status.
  • UK security clearance to at least SC
