Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

What You’ll Do:

  • Technical Design lead within OSS: evaluate new network and IT technologies, ensure systems are aligned to Vodafone strategy, meeting customer requirements and ensuring a sustainable support model.
  • Work with colleagues in OSS, IT Architecture, Network Architects, Service Designers, Business Analysts, customers, and vendors to provide input into strategic roadmaps; and develop and deliver both large and small development enhancements.
  • Responsible for technical external deliveries to ensure they are fit for purpose, and sustainable for ongoing support. Build relationships with vendors and 3rd parties to enhance future deliveries. 
  • Produce high quality, comprehensive and coherent IT specifications; Input for business cases & impact assessments.

Who You Are:

  • Knowledge and design experience of application and platform design of GIS systems such as ESRI’s ArcGIS.  
  • Competent understanding of cloud platforms, such as AWS or GCP
  • Experience of agile & waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Previous experience in an OSS/Network design.
  • Appreciation of key network technologies/protocols including 3G, 4G, 5G, TCP/IP, MPLS, DWDM, OTN, NFV/SDN, SSL/TLS, SSH, IP-VPN & SNMP.
