What you’ll do

Responsible for the High Level / Low-Level Design of security capabilities that support reliable and secure hosted and collaborative services across the whole Vodafone business, mainly focused in Gi/Service LAN, Data Center, and Office IT environments. Assure the Integrity, Confidentiality, and Availability of Data Core networks in Europe, supporting effective end-to-end view on security aspects of data core services as well as the impact on those of Data Core architectures, configurations, and designs. Set up relevant tools, analyses, and reports, to be used by and with Data Core engineering teams, to assess security and integrity and promote best-of-breed engineering practices across Data Core networks within the region.

 

Responsible for High Level and Low Level Design engineering and network design optimization, including harmonization of office network environments and services, implementation of virtualization and segregation concepts, and conducting proof of concept (POC) validation.
Responsible for ensuring an optimal implementation process that delivers quality and cost-effectiveness, including participation in tender processes, supervision of external supporters and third parties, quality assurance, and managing test environments.
Responsible for maintaining network documentation aligned with TSO architecture and ensuring its quality.
Responsible for network harmonization and standardization across the region/local market, including LAN and security network environments and services, driving network standards, and supporting network innovations.
Collaboration and teamwork with other engineering, implementation, and operations teams in Vodafone, developing harmonized solutions within local OpCos and TSO, and sharing expertise with other network teams across Vodafone.

Who you are

Business skills: Cultural understanding, strong team player, proactive, service performance alignment, collaboration experience. Understanding of operational environments and project delivery.
Ability to work across functional and cultural boundaries.
In-depth knowledge: Passive network and Data Centre infrastructure, Office LAN challenges, network protocols and hardware, network security systems, routing protocols, network management, and security expertise.
Technical Requirement: Academic degree and/or at least 3/5 years of work experience in supporting large IT infrastructures along with Project management experience.
Familiarity with other engineering domains and teams involved in network security, such as OSS, IT, and CTSO office.
Knowledge of the Mobile Network Operator environment and 3GPP standard architectures.
