Salary:  Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

What you’ll do

As a Technical Design Specialist you will provide product, process and technical expertise for the Edge platform within Vodafone UK.  You will support the business in driving technical compliance & standards of excellence for the platforms and contribute to the technical vision and strategic roadmap for the domain.

 

  • You will be working with business stakeholders to review requirements, change requests and impact assessments & providing high level technical designs to 3rd Party vendors/integrators.
  • You will contribute to the product and process vision and roadmap for the Edge domain, including application rationalisation, upgrades and customer experience.
  • You will carry out impact assessment for new demands within SLAs and provide consultancy to IT Solution Architects during High Level Design phase.
  • You will support projects by driving suppliers to provide generic and flexible design proposals and detailed designs for all solutions ensuring maximum re-use. 
  • You will promote quality assurance and overall integrity of project deliveries through the platform and ensure no impact on upstream or downstream systems.




Who you are
 

  • You will preferably have in depth knowledge of broadband products in the UK market (Openreach and other broadband suppliers).
  • You will preferably have industry and business knowledge of Telecom products, services and processes.
  • You will have the ability to provide detailed analysis.  Be able to deep dive into detail in order to ensure quality deliverables and also to explain the functional capability in simple terms to business users and IT development teams.
  • You will be an adaptable team player used to working in a dynamic and fast paced environment with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
