About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Test Lead to deliver testing services within the IT Shared Service Centre (VSS India) for telecommunications platforms and services. The individual will be responsible for managing offshore test delivery, ensuring quality and timely execution of test plans, and supporting stakeholder engagement across multiple projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in Telco Billing, CRM, and mediation environments, along with leadership capabilities to guide QA teams.

What you’ll do

  • Lead offshore delivery of testing services for Mobile and Fixed Line workstreams.
  • Prepare and execute test plans, cases, and scripts to agreed standards and timelines.
  • Ensure accurate status reporting across project and release phases.
  • Review estimations and key client-facing deliverables created by QA teams.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and support resolution of escalated issues.
  • Track KPIs and ensure closure of project-specific risks and issues.
  • Support performance reviews and service quality assessments.
  • Drive consistency in testing methodology and capture lessons learnt.

Who you are

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in Test Management across full SDLC in Telco Billing, Online and Mediation environments.
  • ISTQB Foundation certification in Software Testing (or equivalent).
  • Proficient in testing Unix software, Oracle databases, IBM Message Queues, Teradata, and middleware.
  • Skilled in using test management tools such as ALM and RQM.
  • Strong understanding of CRM journeys in the telecom domain.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in international and multicultural environments.
  • Fluent in English and confident in stakeholder engagement.
  • Holds a graduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
