About this Role

As a Linux Administrator within the DCOPS Linux team, the individual will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for Linux-based systems. This includes diagnosing and resolving hardware and operating system issues, managing server-related incidents, service requests, and change requests within defined service level agreements (SLAs). The role requires collaboration across products, vendors, and geographies to deliver effective solutions and ensure infrastructure stability.

What you will do

  • Provide technical support for diagnosing and resolving Linux hardware and OS issues.
  • Manage server-related incidents, service requests, and change requests within SLA timelines.
  • Perform Linux infrastructure maintenance and migration activities as required.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend improvements for critical issues.
  • Collaborate across teams, vendors, and geographies to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations to ensure 24x7 operational coverage.

What skills you need

  • Proficiency in RHEL Linux, Oracle Linux, and Veritas Cluster Server (VCS).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities in Linux environments.
  • Experience in managing operational tasks and service delivery in data centre environments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • Open-minded and solution-oriented approach to technical challenges.
