We are looking for a skilled and motivated Python Data Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

What you will do
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines using Python and GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
- Build and manage data warehouses using BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and other GCP tools.
- Implement data validation, cleansing, and encryption techniques to ensure data quality and security.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support data modelling, visualisation, and machine learning initiatives.
- Optimise data workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Establish and maintain data governance policies and standards.
- Integrate data pipelines with various systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines, conducting root cause analysis as needed.
- Continuously explore and apply new GCP features and best practices to enhance data engineering capabilities.
What skills you need
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python development and data engineering on GCP.
- Proficiency in Python 3.x and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
- Strong knowledge of GCP services including Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Cloud SQL.
- Experience in data pipeline development, data warehousing, and data governance.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, architecture, and engineering principles.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, Git version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
