Deputy Manager_DC Network Implementation Engineer_Pune
Role Purpose
The Data Center Network L3 Implementation Engineer is part of Vodafone Technology’s centralized DC Network implementation team. This role owns the overall network design and implementation for assigned projects, collaborating with SMEs, architects, project managers, and Infra Services to ensure solutions align with group strategy and policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement network service solution designs and changes per HLD documents.
- Migrate service connectivity from legacy networks to SD-WAN/ACI/NSX/Private Cloud, following Vodafone security zoning and routing standards.
- Review and deploy high-performance, optimized solutions.
- Build relationships with design teams in Opcos/Regions and the IP-MPLS Backbone team.
- Troubleshoot L3 network issues.
- Evaluate solution options for technical deliverables with cross-functional teams.
- Support network service design/ops for service restoration and seamless connectivity.
- Communicate deployment strategy and standard solutions effectively.
Core Competencies, Knowledge & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in relevant roles.
- Hands-on experience with SDN (SD-WAN, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX), network automation (Python, Terraform scripting), private and public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Cisco Nexus Data Center devices.
Qualifications
BE or equivalent technical/professional qualification
