About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimise database systems supporting the full lifecycle of BSS products. This role involves performance tuning, query optimisation, backup and recovery strategy implementation, and collaboration with development teams to ensure robust and scalable database solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle RDBMS, PostgreSQL, and RHEL, and will be comfortable working in dynamic environments that require availability for night shifts or on-call support.

What you will do

  • Contribute to IT projects across all phases, from solution evaluation to software implementation.
  • Design, configure, and optimise database systems to meet evolving business needs.
  • Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline database operations and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain database health, ensuring high availability and performance across multiple databases and applications.
  • Perform routine DBA tasks including maintenance, backups, recovery, and upgrades.
  • Support testing and development environments, ensuring readiness for scheduled activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant, and optimised database solutions.
  • Integrate database operations with DevOps practices and automation frameworks.
  • Ensure application server optimisation and adherence to security and compliance standards.

Who you are

  • 3 to 8 years of total experience, with at least 3 years as a full-time DBA.
  • Proficient in Oracle RDBMS version 19 and above, preferably on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and RHEL version 8.* or higher.
  • Skilled in Shell Scripting and PLSQL.
  • Strong expertise in database performance tuning and optimisation.
  • Comfortable with shift-based work, including night shifts, overtime, or standby support when required.
  • A collaborative team player with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
