Role

Role purpose: 
Mediation is one of the key IT systems that collects data from all our network elements (mobile, fixed net, fibre, cable) in order to enrich and unify several million call events every minute and distribute them to over different destination systems. You will support us in understanding and managing these changes and help to answer the questions from the project.
•    Pre-analysis of incoming mediation projects from an operational perspective.
•    Summarize the impact on the mediation system regarding business and infrastructure topics
•    Present summary and collect feedback from the mediation team and communicate it back to the project team
•    Learn and understand the "mediation way" from the team feedback and become more and more independent to be able to manage projects autonomously
•    Do analysis within mediation to answer the questions from the project e.g. how many CDRs of a certain type are being processed every day, how many customers are using a certain service etc.
•    Configuration of new network element, plans, operations, Tables are made or the existing ones are modified depending upon the type of requirement.
•            Worked on configuration part of the product which include product APL, various agents (like disk, analysis, merge etc), task jobs, collection strategies, decoder, encoders and   various other agents.
•    While Testing Correction/Editing of error CDRs and then reprocessing them successfully to get the desired results. Testing the CDRs for the new releases bug finding. 
•    Installation of new patches and build to resolve new defects/bugs in Mediation Zone with co-ordinate with Client, development team and downstream application. 
•    Good Functional Knowledge of Mediation
•    End to End Node Integration testing 
•            Good Knowledge of Mediation Nokia Comptel.
•    Creating Health Check system and BAU reports. 
•    CRQ Deployments. 
•            Pre and Post health checks. 
•    Actively handling incident management and service requests.
•            Knowledge of SQL Queries, Unix Shell Scripting and Unix Commands
•            Knowledge of Ticketing tools like BMC Remedy, ITSM.
•    At least 5 years of work experience in the mediation preferably in Nokia mediation comptel Link.
•    High social skills You will need to build a good working relationship with a variety of teams that can help to fulfil the project and mediation goals
•    Ability to reason/analytical skills to understand the complex coherences of a mediation system
•    Preferable basic programming skills in any language.

Roles and Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:
-    Analyze project impact and review de-sign from an operational perspective.
-    Summarize findings in a report focus-ing on the mediation system's impact. Present this report to the mediation operations team to gather feedback and concerns, then communicate them back to the main project team. This helps ensure the project consid-ers the potential impact on the media-tion system and its smooth operation.
-    Participate in daily mediation opera-tional work when not involved in pro-ject initiatives.
 Demonstrate strong operational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
-    Minimum of 5 years of work experience in mediation, preferably in the Nokia Comptel Mediation Zone.
-    Advanced Unix skills
-    Proficiency in shell scripting. 
-    Advanced SQL skills
-    Dunning, Collections Processing Knowledge is Advantage
Basic programming skills in any language (a plus).
Must have technical/professional qualifications: 
-    Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in engineering/MCA
Ideally having strong functional knowledge in mediation. Experience in telecom domain or relevant experience.
